About

Elizabeth Green has been a practising artist for over thirty years. She founded the Art Shed in Kenthurst in 2022 to give adults at any stage of their creative journey a place to work, and someone to guide them through it.

She trained at Hornsby TAFE, completing a Diploma of Fine Arts, before going on to a Bachelor of Visual Arts at the University of Sydney, where she received the Dean's Drawing Award.

Her work continues to be recognised. In 2021 she was selected as a finalist in the Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award, and the exhibition toured regionally. She has since been named a finalist in the Kedumba Art Prize in 2024 and again in 2026, and in the Paul Guest Prize at Bendigo Art Gallery in 2024.

What Elizabeth brings to every class at the Kenthurst Art Shed is a working artist's honesty — about what's difficult, what takes time, and what's worth pushing further.
